ARTOTEL LEGUNA MAGELANG BLENDS ART, MODERN DESIGN AND MICE FACILITIES

LOCAL art and culture are integral to the concept offered by ARTOTEL Leguna Magelang. Featuring 111 rooms, the hotel combines contemporary design, artworks, and meeting facilities, catering to both leisure travelers and business professionals in Magelang, Central Java.

According to the company profile, the hotel’s design was crafted by architect Andra Matin, who drew inspiration from the architecture of Borobudur Temple. This Buddhist temple—a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site—served as a key reference in developing the hotel’s design character.

This approach is realized through a fusion of modern architectural elements and artworks distributed throughout various areas. Art here is more than mere decoration; it is woven into the guest experience and serves as a medium to introduce the works of local artists to visitors.

The name “Leguna” stems from concepts of timelessness and a connection to the earth. The prefix “Le” represents elegance, while “Guna” refers to purpose, utility, and value. This philosophy forms the conceptual foundation for the hotel’s identity.

Selected room categories

Nine Room Categories
ARTOTEL Leguna Magelang offers nine room categories: Standard Room, Superior Room, Deluxe Room, Grand Deluxe Room, Executive Room, Premier Room, Junior Suite, Business Suite, and Executive Suite.

Room sizes range from 25 to 80 square meters. Standard amenities include an LED television with local and international channels, a work desk, a safe, and coffee and tea-making facilities.

Selected room categories feature additional amenities, such as a magnifying mirror, an iron and ironing board, a seating area, and a bathroom equipped with a separate bathtub. This variety in room types and sizes provides options for guests with diverse needs—from those on short stays to business travelers requiring more spacious accommodations.

Beyond its accommodation services, ARTOTEL Laguna Magelang offers ‘MeetSpace’ facilities to host meetings, conferences, and various special events. There are four meeting rooms, each varying in size and capacity.

The Borobudur Grand Ballroom spans 307 square meters and can accommodate up to 200 guests. The Prambanan room, covering 67 square meters, has a capacity of approximately 50 people. Two additional rooms—Mendut and Umbul—measure 44 square meters and 41 square meters, respectively, each accommodating around 20 people.

Room configurations can be tailored to the specific format of an event, including theater, classroom, boardroom, U-shape, or banquet styles. This flexibility allows the hotel’s facilities to be used for both corporate meetings and social gatherings.

These MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) facilities serve as a key pillar of the hotel’s offerings, extending its reach beyond individual travelers and families.

From Art Galleries to Fitness Facilities
The hotel’s commitment to the arts is showcased through ‘ArtSpace,’ a gallery featuring local and contemporary artworks. This space reinforces the hotel’s character, integrating art into both its physical identity and the guest experience.

For dining, the hotel features ‘Jihva All Day Dining,’ which offers 98 seats. The restaurant serves a breakfast buffet from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM on weekdays, extending until 10:30 AM on weekends. À la carte service is available from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Recreational and fitness amenities include a swimming pool (open from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM), a spa (available from 10:00 AM to midnight), and a 24-hour fitness center. This combination of facilities allows the hotel to cater to guests’ needs throughout their stay—whether for rest, dining, or maintaining a fitness routine.

Art as a Differentiator
Amidst competition in the hospitality industry, a blend of design, art, and amenities serves as a way to establish a hotel’s unique identity. ARTOTEL Laguna Magelang distinguishes itself by integrating artworks and local cultural references into the guest experience.

This concept also expands the hotel’s function, transforming it from a mere place to stay into a space that brings together accommodation, business activities, culinary offerings, and the appreciation of art. [traveltext.id]
