ARTOTEL Group (AG) held the grand launching of ARTOTEL Harmoni Jakarta on Friday, (23 /10), 2026, marking a new chapter in the hotel’s journey in providing a stay experience that combines art, modernity and urban lifestyle.

According to Yulia Maria, AG’s Corporate Marketing Communications Director during the press conference, said this hotel has been operating under the ARTOTEL brand since September 2025. This hotel underwent a one-year rejuvenation process to strengthen its identity as an art concept hotel that represents contemporary creativity while being inspired by the rich culture of the surrounding area.

“The updates include improving the quality of guest rooms, adding artwork in various areas of the hotel, the presence of Kongsi Rasa as a restaurant with a new concept, as well as developing ARTSPACE as an art gallery which is part of the ARTOTEL Group’s distinctive identity,” she said.

She added, through this update, ARTOTEL Harmoni Jakarta, which is located at the end of Central Jakarta, not only offers accommodation facilities, but also presents experiences that connect art, culture and the dynamics of urban life. Strategically located in the Jakarta business district and not far from the Chinatown area which is full of history and tradition.

Meanwhile, Arbiter Gerhard, General Manager of the hotel, said that through the renewal of ARTOTEL Harmoni Jakarta, we want to present a stay experience that is increasingly relevant to modern lifestyles, without abandoning ARTOTEL’s unique character which prioritizes art, creativity and cultural expression.

“Strategically located in Jakarta’s business district and close to the Chinatown area which is rich in history and tradition, ARTOTEL Harmoni Jakarta has the potential to be more than just a place to stay and it is hoped that this hotel can become the destination of choice for business people and tourists who are looking for a different hospitality experience, as well as being a starting point for exploring Jakarta’s artistic, cultural and culinary diversity,” he affirmed.

However, when asked about the number of rooms that had been renovated, he immediately answered that ARTOTEL Harmoni Jakarta has 150 rooms divided into three types, namely Studio 25, Studio 30, Studio 37 which are undergoing rejuvenation. Each room is designed to provide optimal comfort with modern and premium facilities, including a 50-inch LED Smart TV, a bed with a 200 x 200 cm mattress, an instant coffee machine, and various other supporting facilities to meet the needs of business guests and tourists.

“ARTOTEL is a hospitality brand that prioritizes art, creativity and lifestyle. As a hotel that makes art an important part of the staying experience. Through an artistic approach that highlights Peranakan design elements, play of color and nostalgic nuances in a contemporary interpretation, these works create a distinctive visual character while reflecting the rich culture of the area around the hotel,” he noted.

Arbirter also explained, this combination of contemporary art and Chinese-Peranakan cultural inspiration strengthens ARTOTEL Harmoni Jakarta’s identity as an art hotel that not only offers accommodation, but also provides a space for appreciation of creativity and cultural heritage in the context of modern urban life.

That in the context of the grand launching, he continued that a number of works by Diela Maharani and Donald Saluling were also exhibited at ARTSPACE, an art gallery which is part of ARTOTEL’s commitment to supporting the development of Indonesia’s arts and creativity ecosystem.

“ARTSPACE is expected to become an open space for artists, especially young artists, as well as the creative community to display their work, exchange ideas, collaborate and interact with the wider community,” Arbiter concluded. [traveltext.id]
