PATHWAYS TO HOTEL CAREERS, NATIONAL HOSPITALITY JOB FAIR 2026 OPENS

THE NATIONAL Hospitality Job Fair (NHJF) 2026 officially opened today, Monday (10/27), 2026 serving as a job fair for the hospitality industry—a sector encompassing hotels, restaurants, and tourism services. The event is being held at Chillax Sudirman, Central Jakarta, over two days October 27–28, 2026.

According to Alexander Nayoan, Chairman of TSSC, at the opening speech said the event is presented by the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) and managed by the digital recruitment platform Goodtalenta.com. It is supported by the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Global Accelerator, and the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism.

“The event’s slogan is clear, ‘Connecting Talent, Elevating Hospitality.’ Meanwhile, the promotional materials invite job seekers with the phrase, ‘Start Your Career, Explore Your World.’ The event is designed in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online sessions. The on-site, face-to-face sessions are taking place at Chillax Sudirman, Jakarta, from October 27–28, 2026, while the virtual component runs for a longer duration, beginning October 26, 2026, via the website nhjf2026.goodtalenta.com,” he explained.

He noted that this format creates opportunities for job seekers outside of Jakarta. They do not need to travel to the capital to participate; instead, they can simply access the virtual sessions from anywhere. For those who wish to interact directly with company representatives, the in-person sessions offer an ideal opportunity.

“This event is open to vocational high school graduates, diploma holders, university graduates, and trainees. It also targets professionals who are already employed. The opportunities offered span various levels, ranging from entry-level staff to management positions,” Alexander affirmed.

He also explained that it was further noted that the hospitality industry is known for having clear career paths. An individual can start in an entry-level position and progress through the acquisition of experience and training. This is why many view the sector as both a place to learn and a foundation for a long-term career.

“This hybrid concept ensures that job seekers from all 38 Indonesian provinces can access the same opportunities without the barriers of distance or travel costs to Jakarta. The organizers aim to engage over 3,000 active job seekers and leverage a database of more than 10,000 hospitality talents for the event,” he added.

For those aspiring to a career in the accommodation sector—such as hotels, resorts, and villas—or in food and beverage—including restaurants, cafes, and catering—NHJF 2026 is an event worth marking on your calendar. Other participating sectors range from travel and tourism to entertainment and recreation, as well as meetings and events.

Notably, the event underscores a commitment to equal opportunities for every candidate, objective assessment and selection processes, and transparent recruitment. A wide range of career paths is offered, spanning from staff roles to management positions, complete with training and competency development for successful candidates.
