REDDOORZ cooperates with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to provide accommodation for medical personnel and task force members who are at the forefront in handling the COVID-19 outbreak.
According to Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Angela Tanoesoedibjo, when ensuring accommodation readiness at RedDoorz Plus Near Plaza Blok M, Jakarta, said, the Ministry of Tourism this time collaborating with RedDoorz, an online hotel management and booking platform, in order to provide accommodation for medical personnel.
Previously Tourism MInsitry had also cooperated with Accor Group in preparing accommodation for medical personnel and handed over their technical use to the Task Force for Handling Acceleration in COVID-19 National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).
“I express my gratitude for the support of various parties including the tourism industry which are equally supportive of the COVID-19 countermeasure effort. At present, the government’s priority is to protect the health and safety of all levels of society,” said Angela Tanoesoedibjo.
Angela’s Deputy Minister of Tourism and Culture during a visit to Reddoorz was accompanied by the General Director, HR and Education of Fatmawati General Hospital Gede Ketut Wirakamboja, RedDoorz President Director Mohit Gandas, and Marketing Deputy of Kemenparekraf Nia Niscaya.
Angela said, this cooperation is also an effort to maintain the continuity of the hotel industry which is an important part of national tourism. The most important reason for doing this cooperation is that the hotel must have a standardization that has been set, in order to provide a sense of comfort and security for medical personnel who stay and also for hotel workers in it.
“For this reason, we really appreciate the steps RedDoorz took to help medical workers get access to clean and comfortable lodging. And most importantly close to the hospital where they work,” Angela said.
In this collaboration a total of 99 hotel rooms were prepared for 130 medical personnel available in two hotels, namely RedDoorz Plus Near Plaza Blok M and RedDoorz Blora in Menteng. The two hotels were chosen because of the proximity of the location to the two referral hospitals which handled quite a lot of COVID-19 cases in Jakarta, namely Fatmawati General Hospital, Gatot Soebroto General Hospital and Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo.
Meawhile RedDoorz President Director Mohit Gandas said this support was part of the “Red Heroes” program, a new regional initiative from RedDoorz aimed at helping services for medical staff who were at the forefront in combating COVID-19.
“RedDoorz continues to monitor the development of the situation in Indonesia and is aware of the intense pressure caused by the COVID-19 outbreak on the health sector and also for medical personnel who handle it. As a company that has been operating in Indonesia for more than five years, we want to contribute This is what underlies our launch of the Red Heroes program in Jakarta as part of efforts to support the Indonesian government and the health system in these most decisive times,” he added.
RedDoorz also took various steps to ensure the safety and health of customers and hotel employees as part of efforts to minimize the spread of viruses and suppress the spread curve. Namely by increasing the frequency of cleaning and spraying disinfectants in public areas, such as lobbies, elevators, function rooms, and toilets. Hand sanitizers are also provided in various public areas throughout the property.
“RedDoorz will continue the Red Heroes program, depending on the development of the situation in the future, to various other areas in need in an effort to help other areas most affected by this pandemic,” Mohit Gandas noted.
