SANTIKA HOTEL SUPPORTS THE GOV’T CAPTURE IN HANDLING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

PT GRAHAWITA Santika managed of Santika Hotels & Resorts said that the hotel supports the appeal issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation stated in the Circular Letter of the Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Tangerang-Bekasi (Jabodetabek) Transportation Administration Agency which contains a number of restrictions on access and modes of transportation in Jabodetabek.

In regulation number 5 point C, the Ministry of Transportation also recommends limiting the temporary or partial closure of hotels, shopping at plazas, malls, and hawker centers by implementing the principle of physical distancing.

“We fully support whatever steps are deemed necessary to prevent the spread of this virus. We truly obey the government’s call to combat the COVID-19 virus,” said Prita Gero, Corporate Public Relations of Santika Hotel.

Prita continued if now it has temporarily closed the hotel it manages. It also eliminates the use of swimming pools in hotels it manages as a step to prevent transmission of the virus.

“Not all of our hotels are closed because there is still a need for guests to stay overnight, but we limit it. For the use of the swimming pool we also eliminate it, in order to prevent this virus,” he said.

Prita also did not mention how much the decline in occupation has occurred since COVID-19 struck at the hotel it manages in the Greater Jakarta area. Meanwhile, in January 2020, Santika is targeting this year to add three more managed hotels, namely Amaris Hotel in Jakarta, Santika Hotel in Bandung, and The Kayana in Lombok.

“The three hotels are planned to operate simultaneously in the first semester. In terms of occupancy, Santika targets to reach 85% with a performance growth of 7% to 9%,” she concluded. [special photo]
