TTC TRAVEL MART 2021 HELD ‘SEMI VIRTUAL’ WITH STRICT HEALTH PROTOCOLS

ALTHOUGH still in a state of pandemic, TTC travel Mart is still held through strict health protocols. All participants take a health test before entering the venue, must wear a mask, wash their hands, and maintain a safe distance.

According to Tedjo Iskandar, Founder of TTC Travel Mart, when met at Redtop Hotel Jakarta, Monday (6/7), under normal conditions, TTC Travel Mart is held twice a year. This year, the independent tourism market only held in Jakarta, but considering the current situation (pandemic), we are trying to organize it carefully for the health protocol.

“Seeing the situation that made international sellers unable to attend the event, a new concept was created in TTC Travel Mart, namely ‘Semi Virtual’ is created for sellers who cannot be physically present but will be presented virtually to still be able to meet with tourism players from Indonesia,” he said.

It has been more than a year since the COVID-19 pandemic, and it hasn’t ended in various parts of the world, pandemics are also of particular concern to the global tourism players including Indonesian tourism players. Especially related to the trend of destinations they will visit after this pandemic.

“We must continue to held the event during this pandemic and we must not give up in this condition. Indeed, if we look at the enthusiasm of buyers and sellers, they welcome this event, here we can see that Indonesia is still an attractive market for foreign tourism actors,” said Tedjo.

He also explained, TTC Travel Mart this time followed by tourism players from abroad and domestically such as European countries, Korea, Dubai, and cities in Indonesia consisting of tour operators and hotels.

Tedjo continued that by re-implementing the TTC Travel Mart, TTC hopes that colleagues from tourism players can return to stay in touch, share information about the latest information from their respective countries and also about new regulations that must be implemented in the future.

“I certainly see and realize that there is so much potential for tourism into Indonesia and also outside Indonesia that needs to always be developed together with other tourism players.
