INDONESIA’S Government has again extended the Enforcement of Restrictions on Micro-scale Community Activities (PPKM Mikro) for the period 15-28 June 2021.
According to the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs who is also the Chairman of the COVID-19 Handling and National Economic Recovery Committee (KPC-PEN) ,Airlangga Hartarto in an online press conference from the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday (6/14), said that there are a number of provisions that have been adjusted in this Micro PPKM.
“Several activities related to the Micro PPKM which will be extended from June 15-28, for the red zone area, work from home is 75%. The red zone describes an area that has a high risk of COVID-19 transmission, while the yellow and green zones have medium risk and low risk, respectively,” said Minister Airlangga.
Airlangga explained that offices located in the red zone can only be filled by employees whose number does not exceed 25% of capacity. The company is also required to make a rotating schedule for employees who will work in the office (WFO). Meanwhile, for offices in the orange or yellow zone, the government provides concessions. For those in the orange and yellow zones, the WFO and WFH are 50%.
“The government also requires 100% of schools in the red zone sub-districts to hold online learning. To reduce crowds, the government also asked religious people in the red zone to worship in their respective homes. So praying in public or public places or worshiping in special places of worship in the red area will be closed for two weeks,” Airlangga stated.
For shopping center operating hours, restaurants are still limited to 21.00 WIB and the maximum number of guests is 50%t of the total capacity with the implementation of strict health protocols.
“The government also encourages that in red zone areas such as Kudus, Bangkalan, assign the Kodim Commander (Dandim) and the Head of Police to lead the Micro PPKM to be thickened, meaning additional officers so that community discipline can be further improved,” Minister Airlangga concluded.
