INDONESIAN Ministry of Communication and Information is optimistic that the tourism sector in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), will see a leap in progress.
According to the Minister of Communications and Informatics, Jhonny G Plate said that now the world events held in Labuan Bajo, one of which was the world women’s police conference,” he told reporters at the Batu Cermin Cave tourist site, Labuan Bajo, Friday (6/18).
“The world women’s police conference which is planned to be held in Labuan Bajo in September 2019 shows that Labuan Bajo has become the world’s attention. For this reason, I invite various parties to build strong cooperation to immediately end the COVID-19 pandemic through strict implementation of health protocols,” he said.
He added that the government took a strict part in the 3T (Treatment, Testing, Treacing) but the community also carried out the discipline. Thus, when the COVID-19 pandemic is over, economic recovery and tourism development will certainly jump far.
“This is an extraordinary leap, a leap of a frog, well, we must do to achieve the economic growth that we both intend and plan. I am sure that with collaborative work and strong enthusiasm, the economic recovery in Indonesia will go well,” he said.
