DURING the COVID-19 pandemic, the trend of tourism using private helicopters increased, especially for tourist destinations in Bali.
According to the Commissioner of the air transportation company, Urban Air Indonesia, Dewa Gede Adiputra, said although tourists traveling to Bali during the COVID-19 pandemic experienced a significant decline, the new trend of private travel using air transportation such as helicopters has actually increased.
“Demand for helicopters in Bali is very high and the needs vary, ranging from classic tourist flights, island transfers, marriage proposals, aerial filmmaking, photo shoots, videography and business purposes,” Dewa said in a statement on Friday (6/25).
The high demand and interest of tourists for helicopter transportation that has not been fulfilled in full, has made Dewa Gede Adiputra as Commissioner of Urban Air Indonesia to add to his fleet, namely the Bell 505 type. Currently Urban Air operates the new Bell 505 and Robinson R66 helicopters registered under AOC 135 in Indonesia.
“Urban Air operates the new Bell 505 helicopter. This is the latest force on the market. An open cab with integrated straps, movable seats and the ability to adapt to a variety of jobs. Not only for tourism needs, Urban Air also provides medical transportation services that serve patients quickly and easily,” he explained.
Dewa hopes that Urban Air can become one of the helicopter tour accommodations that can serve the best tourism activities in Bali with the best customer service and safe operations
The company owned by Dewa Gede Adiputra and his wife Maharani Kemala, who is an entrepreneur for MS Glow cosmetic products, is under Urban Company, which was founded in 2014.
