THE INDONESIA’S Directorate General of Civil Aviation has released Circular Letter Number 53 of 2021 regarding health requirements that must be met by domestic travelers using air transportation.
According to the Director General of Civil Aviation, Novie Riyanto in a written statement, Tuesday (7/20) said for flights between airports on Java Island, flights from or to airports on Java Island and Bali Island, it is mandatory to show the first vaccine card and a certificate of negative test results. RT-PCR whose samples are taken within a maximum period of 2×24 hours before departure.
“Meanwhile, flights other than Java and Bali are required to show a certificate of negative RT-PCR test results whose samples were taken within a maximum period of 2×24 hours or negative results of rapid antigen tests whose samples were taken within a maximum period of 1×24 hours before departure,” said Novie Riyanto.
Novie Riyanto conveyed, specifically during the Idul Adha 1442 H. holiday period on 19-25 July 2021, travel for people/passengers including travelers under 18 years of age is temporarily limited and only excluded for travellers with work activities in essential and critical sectors. , urgent needs such as patients with severe illness, pregnant women accompanied by 1 (one) family member, the importance of childbirth accompanied by a maximum of 2 (two) people, and non-COVID-19 corpse carriers with a maximum number of 5 (five) people.
“Travelers who work in essential and critical sectors are required to also show a Worker Registration Certificate or a Certificate from the local Regional Government or an Assignment Order from an Echelon II-level Agency Leader,” he said.
As explained by Novie, meanwhile for travelers who have an urgent need, they are also required to show a travel certificate, including a referral letter from the hospital, a cover letter from the local regional apparatus such as a Death Certificate or other certificate.
Circular Letter (CL) 53 of 2021 also excludes showing a vaccine card for travellers with special medical interests for medical reasons based on information from internal medicine specialists, seriously ill patients and pregnant women accompanied by 1 (one) family member.
“We continue to update the Circular of people’s travel instructions in accordance with the latest CL from the COVID-19 Task Force, namely CL Number 15 of 2021. Hopefully, with restrictions on community mobility and restrictions on worship/tradition activities during Idul Adha during this pandemic, the community can obey Our efforts in breaking the chain of the spread of COVID-19 are not in vain,” he concluded.
