PRESIDENT Joko Widodo announced the progress of handling the corona virus (COVID-19) in Indonesia. During the past week, there has been improvement in the implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). The rate of positive case ratio and hospital bed occupancy has decreased.
Therefore, in the next week, namely August 31 to September 6, 2020, the government will make changes to the implementation of PPKM. In Java and Bali, there are two agglomeration areas whose PPKM levels were lowered from level 4 to level 3.
“In the Java-Bali region, there are additional agglomeration areas that enter level 3, namely Malang Raya and Solo Raya,” Jokowi said at a press conference, Monday (30/8).
Previously, there were areas of Greater Jakarta, Greater Bandung, Greater Surabaya, and Greater Semarang that implemented PPKM level 3. Even Semarang Raya currently has implemented PPKM level 2.
