EMIRATES is again the official airline for the US Open Tennis Championships 2021, the tenth in a row and will connect tennis fans from around the world to this iconic Grand Slam tournament via its global route network. Emirates also has flight connections through 12 US cities, including the recently launched four-week passenger service to Miami.
According to Essa Sulaiman Ahmad, Divisional Vice President, USA and Canada, Emirates said nothing can bring people together like a love for sport. The US Open is one of the most important sporting events in the world and we are delighted to be back in person.
“Emirates is committed to providing US customers with the best experience both in-flight and in tournaments so they can rediscover their love of tennis and travel. Thanks to the continued collaboration with USTA, we believe this year’s tournament will be even better than the previous year,” Essa added.
During the US Open, Essa said Emirates will offer a variety of activities to interact with in-person tennis fans and fans from around the world. The Emirates First-Class Suite is one of the most sought-after luxury and exciting experiences by celebrities and fans alike bringing to life the ultra-premium experience on Emirates flights.
In addition, fans can also relax at the Emirates Sport Café while enjoying a variety of food and beverage offerings. Emirates is working with USTA to follow COVID-19 protocols set by local authorities such as requiring the use of masks and improving hygiene to provide a safe and hassle-free US Open experience to all fans and guests.
For fans unable to attend the US Open in person, Emirates will share the fun with activities on its social media platforms and via The Mixer, a virtual talk show about the US Open and Emirates. Tennis fans flying to and from the US in Emirates First and Business Class between August 30 and September 12 can enjoy the US Open Overhead Smash, a cocktail with fresh lime, mint and sugar served with ginger ale and bitter Angostura.
Customers in all classes of travel can enjoy live US Open shows on Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra on Emirates ice TV Live. With more than 90% of its pre-pandemic destination network having resumed operations, Emirates looks forward to getting back and on the air by continuing to ensure passenger safety at every step of the journey.
