15 TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN BANYUWANGI ARE NOW STARTING TO REOPEN

BANYUWANGI tourism finally reopened on Friday (9/10), but only 15 of the 64 tourist attractions have been opened.

According to the Head of the Banyuwangi Tourism Office, MY Bramuda, said while there are 15 destinations opened, out of 64 destinations in Banyuwangi. It’s not all. This is the result of a survey of associate friends. The 15 tourist attractions that are allowed to open in Banyuwangi are mostly nature tourism. For the swimming pool, until now it is still not allowed to open.

As for the results of the coordination meeting, tourist attractions in Banyuwangi may reopen with various provisions. The number of visitors at tourist attractions is only 25% of the maximum capacity. Tourists must also be vaccinated.

“Every tourist spot must use the PeduliLindungi application or provide a barcode to be scanned. Visitors are required to show a vaccine certificate as a condition for entering tourist attractions in Banyuwangi,” he said.

Bramuda explained that Banyuwangi tourism during this pandemic relied on quality tourism, not mass tourism. Therefore, it will be optimized to sell tour packages with canal tickets to various destinations.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Banyuwangi Pokdarwis Association (Tourism Awareness Group) Abdul Aziz admitted that we were ready to apply the discipline of health protocols to protect all visitors and tourism managers.

“We and our Pokdarwis friends are committed to implementing strict health protocols, including using the PeduliLindung application. Don’t let carelessness in implementing health protocols result in tourist attractions being closed again. This is our commitment,” Azis noted.

He concluded that the 15 tourist attractions in Banyuwangi that were open were Pulau Merah Beach, Ijen Crater, Alas Purwo, Mustika Beach, Cacalan Beach, Grand Watudodol, Bunder Marine Tourism, Cemara Beach, Sendang Seruni, Jagir, Jopuro, Banyu Biru Bay, Pine, Terracotta and Boom Beach.
