AIRASIA AIRLINES WELCOMES FOREIGN TOURISTS VISIT TO MALAYSIA

AIRASIA Airlines celebrated the reopening of Malaysia’s international borders, Friday (3/31), by welcoming foreign tourists to Malaysia at KLIA 2.

A total of 12 AirAsia international flights from eight countries, including Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Bangladesh, the Philippines and India, arrived at KLIA2 marking a good start for the restoration of international services that have been stalled for more than two years due to the pandemic.

Fully vaccinated AirAsia staff including pilots, cabin crew and ground staff welcome and entertain guests who take the opportunity to fly with AirAsia again. Similar celebrations were held in Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.

In light of the reopening of international borders, AirAsia passengers can now visit popular destinations in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Philippines, Maldives and more for fares as low as RM89 one way, while domestic routes start at RM39 one way.

Bookings can be made by clicking on the “flight” icon on the AirAsia Super App from now until 3 April 2022, for travel periods between 1 April 2022 to 25 March 2023.

In addition, passengers who book AirAsia international flights (flight code AK) through the airasia Super App from now until 10 April 2022, are automatically eligible to participate in the sweepstakes and stand a chance to win RM12,000 worth of airasia points. Guests can also enjoy RM10 off travel to or from the airport via AirAsia’s e-hailing service.

According to AirAsia Aviation Group Limited (AAAGL) Group Chief Executive Officer, Bo Lingam said this Friday is very meaningful for AirAsia as it can finally welcome the arrival of tourists and international travelers to Malaysia after two years.

“We have made careful preparations in terms of operations to provide a safe, smooth and comfortable travel experience for our guests. We also thank the governments of countries in the region for reopening borders and easing travel restrictions,” he concluded. [antaranews]
