SEEING the increasing trend of electric vehicles in Indonesia, as evidenced by the number of electric car sales in 2021 amounting to 863,348 units, it is certain that the need for procurement of electric car charging stations will also increase.
ARTOTELGroup saw this opportunity and officially announced that one of its properties, namely ARTOTEL Suites Mangkuluhur, Jakarta, became one of the first hotels in Jakarta to have an officially licensed Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU). In collaboration with EVCuzz, an electric car charging service provider in Indonesia, this facility can be enjoyed starting from March 29, 2022.
According to Yulia Maria, ARTOTEL Group’s Director of Marketing Communications, at the press conference of the launching of E-V charging station, (4/19) said cooperation the provision of SPKLU with EVcuzz is one of the implementations of the sustainable program (ESG) our company to protect the environment by reducing air pollution.
“Besides that, with the availability of SPKLU facilities at ARTOTEL Suites Mangkuluhur, Jakarta, we hope that this hotel will become a hub for electric vehicle owners, both in Jakarta and outside Jakarta,

Yulia Maria explained that furthermore, SPKLU will also be available in several other hotels managed by the ARTOTEL Group, one of which is in Bali which will soon be implemented related to the holding of the G20 Presidency event in October 2022.
“As a hotel managed by the ARTOTEL Group, this hotel will be transformed into a design hotel that carries the concept of art and lifestyle for the Suites or Luxury category. The hotel has 358 guest rooms with 7 types, Classic Studio, Artsy Studio, Classic Suites, Artsy Suites, Club Floor Suites, Chairman and Presidential Suites and provides complete MICE facilities with 11 meeting rooms with capacities from 20 to 250 people. Meanwhile Abdul Rahman Elly, Chief Executive Officer of EVCuzz Charging Network said, as a national SPKLU provider and operator, EVCuzz is committed together with the government to grow and develop SPKLU nationally which this year targets 500 Java-Bali locations and continues to grow every year to exceed 25,000 locations. in 2030.
“The SPKLU facility is available in the parking area of ARTOTEL Suites Mangkuluhur, Jakarta. Drivers can charge themselves or self-service by connecting to the EVCuzz application which can be downloaded on Google Play and the App Store. The cost needed to charge the electricity is also quite affordable, which is IDR2,475 per 1 kWh and is available for 24 hours,” he said.
