FINALLY, THE Indonesian government will soon manage The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta, located in Senayan, Central Jakarta. This was done after the government won the lawsuit of the Judicial Review (PK) decision on the land dispute of Block 15 of the Gelora Bung Karno area or The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta building from PT Indobuildco.
With this decision, the Building Rights Title (HGB) of The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta is legally owned by the state, in this case the Ministry of State Secretariat.
“The leadership has decided with the expiration of HGB number 27/Gelora/2006 and number 26/Gelora will manage itself. So the Ministry of State Secretariat will manage itself in this case PPK GBK (Bung Karno Gelora Complex Management Center,” said Secretary of the Ministry of State Secretariat Setya Utama during a press conference at the Ministry of State Secretariat, Jakarta, as quoted Sunday (03/05), 2023.
“With the provision that it can be cooperated with other parties who have the competence to manage the area, manage hotels and residences, as well as other assets located on HPL 1 and in Block 15,” he added.
Currently, his party and the Development Finance Supervisory Agency (BPKP) are also still exploring to conduct physical checks, as well as conducting audits from the Public Appraisal Services Office (KJPP). In addition, this management plan is in line with efforts to revitalize the GBK area for the benefit of the state, both for sports and non-sports as well as various state and international activities.
“We are together with the Ministry of Finance looking for the best cooperation capital to get the maximum possible benefits for the country’s proceeds,” he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management Center (PPK GBK) Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej emphasized that The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta is legally owned by the government. Minister of State Secretary Pratikno has formed a transition team related to the management of The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta.
“Absolutely not, because like food the lawsuit filed is stale food. It has already been decided in the decision of the District Court No. 952/2006 and also when in the First Review, everything has been confirmed regarding the ownership rights of the Ministry of State Secretariat,” Edward remarked.
On the same occasion, Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administration Feri Wibisono explained that based on existing evidence and had been examined that the GBK area land, including The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta, the Building Rights Title had expired. He also thinks that the lawsuit filed by Pontjo Sutowo is no longer worthy of PTUN examination.
Feri also explained the court’s decision that the Management Rights (HPL) on the land were in the name of the Ministry of State Secretariat. And there is a record that during 2007-2023 PT Indobuildco no longer paid royalties to the state, in this case the Ministry of State Secretariat. [cnbcindonesia.com/photo special]
