GARUDA Indonesia became the airline with the best cabin crew in the world at the 2023 World Airline Awards organized by Skytrax. In the World’s Best Cabin Crew award, this state-owned airline won first place beating Singapore Airlines and Emirates.
In its assessment, Skytrax said the best airline cabin crew award recognizes the all-round performance of cabin staff for hard services (technique, efficiency, attention, etc.), as well as staff service characteristics such as enthusiasm, attitude and friendliness.
In this year’s World Airline Award, Garuda Indonesia took first place, followed by Singapore Airlines in second place. While in third place is ANA ALL Nippon Airways which remains loyal to its position. Then followed by the airline Eva Air which has a plane with a Hello Kitty pattern.
According the President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Irfan Setiaputra, expressed his pleasure that Garuda Indonesia had received the title of World’s Best Cabin Crew for the sixth time at the 2023 World Airline Awards.
Irfan said this global recognition reflected that Garuda Indonesia had managed its services thoroughly, including ensuring Indonesian hospitality and sincerity that was well conveyed from the cabin crew.
In addition, Irfan said this award also reaffirmed the company’s performance which showed positive recovery after the pandemic, which was expected to provide a multiplier effect for all aspects, especially for the tourism industry in Indonesia by providing excellent flight services.
“We also thank the passengers who have trusted Garuda Indonesia’s services for a smooth journey. This achievement is certainly our motivation to develop more initiatives and maintain our commitment to increase passenger satisfaction needs,” said Irfan in his official statement.
