BATIK AIR OPENS A NEW FLIGHT ROUTE TO CHENNAI STARTING MID-AUGUST, 2023

THE BATIK Air airline opened a new destination route to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, a state in southern India starting in mid-August this year.

“Batik Air, a member of the Lion Air Group, is proud to announce the opening of a new flight route which is expected to be a bridge for cultural, business and tourism exchanges between the two countries,” said Corporate Communications Strategic Batik Air Danang Mandala Prihantoro in an official statement received in Jakarta, Sunday (8/06), 2023.

Batik Air will fly for the first time to Chennai on August 11, 2023 with a direct flight route from Kualanamu International Airport in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra to Chennai International Airport. Besides Medan as the largest city in North Sumatra, Kualanamu International Airport is considered the most efficient transit option in western Indonesia to continue flights to Chennai.

“This direct flight, business people and tourists will feel comfortable and easy on their way to attractive destinations in both countries,” said Danang.

In ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers heading to Chennai, Batik Air is preparing Airbus 320-200 and Boeing 737-800NG aircraft. The fleet is equipped with the latest technology and is operated by experienced flight crews so as to further provide a safe and comfortable flight experience for passengers.

Chennai is the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu in India which has a very distinctive cultural diversity and tradition. Chennai is the fourth largest metropolitan city in India after Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore.
