THE TOURISM and Creative Economy Ministry appreciated the programs of the Tourism and Creative Economy Journalists Forum (Forwaparekraf) which participated in reviving the tourism and the creative economy (Parekraf) sector.
The work programs include the Temanggung Famtrip, World Tourism Day Mini FGD, Bekasi Creative Festival, Indonesia Tourism Outlook (ITO) 2024, Tanjung Puting Famtrip, Central Kalimantan, and Famtrip IKN Nusantara.
“Thank you to media partners for this well-run and very friendly collaboration, please improve it further, and add aspects of innovation, adaptation and collaboration for 2023-2024,” Sandiaga said while receiving the Forwaparekraf audience at Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta, recently.
Sandiaga continued, in 2023 which is a political year, the tourism and creative economy sectors have the potential to experience good development, because there are many movements of political parties in their activities.
“I think this political year is a positive year for the movement of our society, because with this contest there will definitely be a higher movement, there will also be orders and purchases for consumption of creative economy products, such as t-shirts, which will have a positive impact. This should not let us run away from our duties and functions, namely what is targeted in the RPJMN that we must achieve the number of foreign tourist visits, mobilization of domestic tourists, added value to the creative economy, and also employment,” he explained.
On this occasion, Sandiaga said that Borobudur would be managed by a single entity.
“First, for Borobudur there will be a Presidential Decree which will synergize the management of the single authority for the Borobudur tourism area. The Borobudur area is in zone one and in zone two, that in the future there will be a single entity that supports cross-ministry/agency elements from the Ministry of Religion, Tourism Ministry, State-Owned Enterprises Ministry, Ministry of Finance, Public Works and Public Housing Ministry (PUPR), all will be there, so there is no confusion in terms of policy and others,” Minister Sandiaga remarked.
Tourism Ministry itself will have an active authority zone under the auspices of an authority body located in Purworejo. However, the single entity to manage the Borobudur Temple is currently being studied across ministries/agencies.
He stated that I have been asked a lot by Mr President what the ideal is like, as of today we have many obstacles to this authority body because of contemporary thoughts and innovations but the clothes are bureaucratic clothes. So later we will examine at the end of our government, whether it will still be like this.
“On Lake Toba, what we are initiating a pilot project for is the authority zone in the Caldera, we want to make it a special economic zone. If this goes well, maybe it will follow those at Borobudur or Labuan Bajo, we’ll see how it goes,” Sandiaga concluded.
Accompanying the Minister Sandiaga, Ministry’s Expert Staff, Yuga Aden. Also present were the Chairperson of Forwaparekraf Pasha Ernowo, Deputy Chairperson 1 Forwaparekraf Inda Susanti; Vice chairman 2, Untung Sutomo, and other Forwaparekraf members. [traveltext.id]
