WEST JAVA International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati Majalengka will receive a transfer of flights from Bandung’s Husein Sastranegara Airport in the near future. For prospective passengers who will fly through this airport, they must first know the available routes.
When fully operational, BIJB Kertajati will serve domestic and international flight routes. There are a number of airlines ready to operate at the airport.
According to the Executive General Manager of BIJB Kertajati, Nuril Huda, in his press statement, Tuesday (9/19), 2023, he said that there are three airlines that will serve domestic routes, namely Citilink, AirAsia and Superjet. Meanwhile, for international flights, there are Garuda Indonesia and AirAsia.
Nuril explained that international flights mostly serve Umrah pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, it is not yet available for other regions.
Meanwhile, for domestic routes such as Citilink airline will serve the Balikpapan and Denpasar routes. “AirAsia will also serve flight routes to Denpasar from BIJB Kertajati, and currently only serves Umrah flights to the Holy Land every week,” explained Nuril.
For Superjet airline, they still do not have detailed information regarding flight routes. However, there are quite a lot of routes served by Superjet while still at Husein Sastranegara Airport.
“Several routes served by Superjet from Husein Airport, such as Medan, Batam, Balikpapan, Denpasar, Lombok and others,” said Nuril.
Meanwhile, for international flights, there are three routes, two of which are to Saudi Arabia which are served by Garuda Indonesia, as well as AirAsia. Every week these two airlines depart Umrah pilgrims from a number of areas in West Java and surrounding areas.
