BBN Airlines Indonesia, which received its commercial license at the end of August, is proactively preparing to meet the high demand in the aviation sector, both domestic and international.
BBN Airlines Indonesia originally had two aircraft. This month they added four Boeing aircraft so that their fleet has now tripled compared to when they first entered Indonesia.
“We have received a positive response since BBN Airlines Indonesia obtained an AOC (Air Operator Certificate) for cargo services. We have received many requests, one of which was from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to send 20 tons of materials and raw materials to support the rehabilitation of Port Vila International Airport in Vanuatu. The arrival of these four new aircraft is part of our plan to bring in 40 aircraft by the end of 2027 to meet aviation needs in Indonesia,” said BBN Airlines Indonesia Chairman Martynas Grigas.
He explained that the Boeing B737-800 BCF type was specifically operated for BBN Airlines Indonesia cargo services. This month, they acquired four Boeing units, namely one B737-400SF unit and three B737-800NG units to improve passenger services.
“Four Boeing units belonging to BBN Airlines are immediately scheduled to undergo a redelivery check at the FL Technics Indonesia hangar as soon as they arrive in Indonesia so that they can immediately be operated serving several domestic and international routes,” said Grigas.
BBN Airlines Indonesia provides a number of services, including charter cargo and passengers, ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance), and regular flights on domestic and international routes. [antaranews]
