Meanwhile, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno said the policy, which has been designed for quite some time since 2022 and finalized in 2023, was finally launched today, and quite a lot of people had expressed interest to us, and we coordinated with the directorate general.
“We hope that this will increase the amount of investment in the tourism and creative industries, we also see opportunities to activate business people. The Golden Visa is a new form of second home visa, which targets international investors and businessmen, global talents and foreign tourists who meet the criteria,” he remarked.
Sandiaga explained that foreign investors with a Golden Visa can have a residence permit in Indonesia for five to ten years with certain investment amount requirements. It is also hoped that Golden Visa policy can increase the number of quality tourists, thereby strengthening the ecosystem of the tourism sector.
If investors use the in-and-out Golden Visa, he continued that it will be good for increasing the number of tourist trips, later they will also invite more other investors and other colleagues to go to Indonesia as an investment destination and they will work here. This will strengthen the ecosystem of the tourism industry.
