THE NORTH Bali Airport project seems to be only a matter of time. The reason is that the budget for the construction of the airport project has been made available and is just waiting to be implemented.
This fact was revealed by the initiator of the North Bali Airport project, PT BIBU Panji Sakti.
According to President Director of PT BIBU Panji Sakti, Erwanto Sad Adiatmoko Hariwibowo, said in Gianyar, Bali, Friday (11/15) that I have received investment funding support of US$3 billion.
The budget equivalent to IDR50 trillion was received from Chinese investor ChangYe Construction Group. The budget will be used to accelerate the construction target of the North Bali International Airport.
PT BIBU Panji Sakti and China ChangYe Construction Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chinese construction company at the office of the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing on November 8, 2024.
According to Erwanto Sad Adiatmoko Hariwibowo, the MoU agreed that the investment financing pattern for the construction of the airport would use the turnkey method, namely payment after the completion of the project.
Under this method, the contractor will first complete the project before receiving full payment from the owner or developer.
“It is extraordinary that the Chinese side agreed with us in the MoU at the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing, they are interested in becoming the main investor, the pattern is turnkey,” he said.
This is a turnkey loan pattern worth US$3 billion, approximately IDR50 trillio. In addition to China, several countries in the Middle East and India are looking to invest in PT BIBU Panji Sakti,” Erwanto affirmed.
Erwanto explained that investors are interested in participating in the construction of the North Bali International Airport because they are interested in the concept of airport development based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy, the harmony of nature, man and the Creator.
“There are things they think are unique. Why is this airport thinking about culture, God. I explained the Tri Hita Karana concept to them, so they came on board,” he concluded.
In addition to the private sector, PT BIBU has collaborated with Indonesian state-owned construction companies such as PT Waskita Karya, PT Wijaya Karya and PT Pembangunan Perumahan.
