LOVINA IN BULELENG MUST BE DEVELOPED IN QUALITY AND SUSTAINABLE TOURISM

LOVINA Beach in Buleleng Regency, Bali and emphasized that tourism development in this area in the future must be geared towards quality and sustainable tourism.

According to the Minister of Tourism, Ni Luh Puspa, during her working visit to Bali, on Saturday (12/07), 2024 said that the development of this tourism takes time. For that, let’s do it together with the cooperation of all parties involved to prepare adequate tourism activities and facilities to maintain the comfort and safety of tourists.

“The development must be carried out continuously in order to increase the length of stay of tourists or the length of stay that is expected to be able to provide a greater economic impact on the local community. This effort is also a step by the government to reach more quality tourists,” she said.

Ni Luh explained that we hope that Lovina will become a quality tourism destination, not mass tourism, so we need to change the image of Bali tourism, which may have been known as cheap tourism, to quality tourism.

During her working visit to Lovina Beach, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ni Luh Puspa also had the opportunity to check several points such as public toilet facilities, the pier, the location of the planned culinary center, and the pedestrian arrangement area.

Deputy for Destination and Infrastructure Development of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Baparekraf, Hariyanto, while accompanying Deputy Tourism Minister Ni Luh Puspa, added that tourism development in Buleleng area is one of the strategies to evenly distribute tourists visiting Bali Province.

“The 3B tour package was launched on September 25, 2024, namely Banyuwangi-West Bali-North Bali as an effort to overcome over-concentrated tourism. The potential of Buleleng is extraordinary. We are sure that Buleleng, especially Lovina Beach, can compete with other destinations in Indonesia,” Hariyanto affirmed.

On the occasion, the head of the Buleleng Regency Tourism Office, Gede Dody Sukma Oktiva Askara, said his party is ready to work with the central government to develop tourism in Buleleng Regency.

“We will map the infrastructure and internal access here to cooperate with the central government. We will prioritize sea connectivity. Hopefully, by 2025, we will have connectivity through fast boats,” said Gede Dody, head of the tourism office. [traveltext.id]
