“We encourage the industry to be able to create new markets with a strategy and an innovative approach, which of course can be based on quality and sustainable tourism principles. For example, creating a meeting package suitable for the community, packages for education tourism and others. With a strong collaboration, we believe we can still find niches of growth sources to maintain the growth momentum of this domestic tourist’s growth,” she affirmed.

She also added that as well as the potential of foreign tourists, who also still have a large niche to be maximized to mitigate impacts. Likewise with the potential of foreign tourists, who also still have a large niche to be maximized to mitigate impacts.

“Especially with the geopolitical dynamics that can change the flow of tourist visits. The government hopes and believes that the hospitality industry can still be resilient to face the dynamics going forward. The Department of Tourism, is committed to fully support, including being a “bridge” for the industry to communicate with other ministries/institutions to study and present the necessary interventions,” Widiyanti elaborated.

“The government, must be willing to provide technical guidance and facilitate business matching, also communicate with other parties to bridge the needs of intervention.
