PT AIRASIA Indonesia Tbk started 2025 with a stable performance, recording revenue of IDR 1.99 trillion in Q1-2025, an increase of 14.2% compared to the same period last year.
AirAsia Indonesia President Director Veranita Yosephine said this growth reflected strong demand and the success of the company’s strategy to expand its focus to the international market.
“Starting in 2025, Indonesia AirAsia will again launch a new international route, namely Bali-Darwin, which is the third route connecting Indonesia and Australia, after previously launching the Bali-Perth and Bali-Cairns flights,” Veranita said in a press release on Tuesday (4/29).
Veranita added that efforts to expand the international market will continue, given Indonesia AirAsia’s strength in this segment thanks to its regional network. In the second quarter of 2025, Indonesia AirAsia is scheduled to launch its fourth international route to Australia, namely Bali-Adelaide.
“This addition confirms Indonesia AirAsia’s commitment to expand its international network, not only in ASEAN and Asia, but also in strategic areas such as Australia,” he said.
Veranita explained that the majority of AAID/CMPP’s revenue in the first quarter of 2025 came from flight operations, with seat ticket sales being the main contributor at IDR 1.65 trillion.
Meanwhile, additional revenue from other services including baggage fees, flight services and other ancillary income sources reached IDR 339 billion.
Supported by a fleet of 30 aircraft, Indonesia AirAsia recorded a capacity of 1.85 million seats and successfully transported 1.53 million passengers throughout the first quarter of 2025, both for 7 domestic routes and 26 international routes operated. In line with this, the passenger load factor was recorded at 83%. [sources/photo special].
