SIA INVESTS SG$45 MILLION IN LOUNGES AT CHANGI AIRPORT TERMINAL 2

SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) will transform its SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges at Singapore Changi International Airport’s Terminal 2 over the next two years, investing SG$45 million to enhance the customer experience on the ground at its main hub.

The renovations, which commenced on April 15, 2025, will be carried out in phases and are expected to be completed by mid-2027. The upgraded lounges will have 50% more space and seating capacity, enhanced amenities, signature elements of SIA’s flagship lounges at Terminal 3, as well as a wider variety of food and beverage offerings.

According to Yeoh Phee Teik, SIA’s Senior Vice President Customer Experience, said the major investment underscores SIA’s commitment to continuously enhance the end-to-end travel experience for our customers.

“Building on the success of our Terminal 3 lounge, we are bringing our signature hospitality and carefully curated services to Terminal 2. This upgrade reinforces our commitment to providing a seamless, world-class experience that meets our customers’ high expectations,” said Yeoh Phee Teik.

The SilverKris Business Class lounge will be expanded by 30% to provide more comfort for customers. There will be a quiet rest area with reclining seats for pre-flight relaxation, as well as a new lounge area with a variety of seating options, including wingback chairs, sofas and productivity pods. Customers can choose to work, dine or rest in comfort, depending on their needs.

The KrisFlyer Gold lounge will double in capacity with a variety of seating options including recliners, work areas and dining chairs. New facilities will include an in-lounge restroom and shower suite, allowing customers to freshen up before their flight.
