QUALITY STANDARD HOTEL IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOR OUR HOTELS: SVEN REMO

AS AN annual event of the two hotel Seres Spring Resort & Spa Singkerta Ubud and Sens Hotel & Spa + Conference Ubud Town Center are located in Ubud, Bali on Friday (05/8), 2025 held a media event Soiree Gathering in Jakarta to introduce the packages and new facilities of the two hotels.

According to Sven Remo, General Manager of Sens Hotel & Spa + Conference Ubud Town said both of our hotels have a different concept from other properties in Ubud, our hotel concept is modern hotels in traditional Balinese surroundings.

“As a policy of Ubud local government that every hotel in Ubud area should have its own unique attraction (beautiful areas, beautiful mountains and environment), so we also have to think of every program at our property must be in accordance with green and sustainability environment,” he said.

He explained that for this reason we came to Jakarta not only to introduce our new programs and packages to journalists in Jakarta, but we from the management and sales side did research to find out the current market needs. We then adjusted the market conditions to the conditions of our two hotels, then created promotional packages needed by the market while maintaining the hotel quality standards and attractive prices, including value added services as additional benefits to attract customer interest.

But in response to the tariff war and meeting, incentives, convention & exhibition (MICE) issue that occurred in Bali, especially in the Ubud area, as well as today, and the percentage of guests targeted at both hotels, Swen Remo said that to the current supply of hotel rooms versus the number of guests who come to Ubud in general, but for our MICE products still survive because we have many ways to get around MICE current conditions, especially in Ubud area.

He also explained that the MICE market demand still exists, but the number of attendees is significantly reduced and with a budget in the current economic conditions from our previous standard prices. During the pandemic in 2020-2022 years ago, most of our MICE business came from the government sector. We are sure that in the future this condition will gradually be good.

“But what is very important in both of our hotels is especially the quality standards of our services, including the products displayed. Honestly, all hotels will not want to lose their money, but in our hotel properties we don’t reduce our quality standard, … never!  Which in the end will greatly disappointed the guests,” he added.

Sven Remo elaborated that we adjusted the market conditions to the conditions of our two hotel properties, then created promotional packages needed by the market, while maintaining hotel quality standards and attractive prices, including value added services as additional benefits.

But when asked, can you mention the percentage of domestic and foreign tourists targeted for your two properties? Swen replied that we are currently targeting all existing potential markets. This is slightly different from previous years where Ubud was more dominated by foreign markets.

“So, in the current situation we are not setting a specific percentage for each target market. Of course, when conditions return to normal, we will re-target the percentage for each market,” he concluded. [traveltext.id]
