THE MINISTRY of Tourism records that the potential of foreign exchange from Indonesia’s participation in the Dubai 2025 Arabian Travel Market (ATM), which was held from April 28 to May 1, 2025 in Dubai World Trade Center, United Arab Emirates, reached IDR1.42 trillion.
According to the Deputy for Marketing of the Ministry of Tourism, Ni Made Ayu Marthini, in her statement in Jakarta, Wednesday (05/7) 2025, said Indonesia’s participation in the Dubai ATM 2025 recorded encouraging results with the potential tourism package sold as many as 45,028 PAX, exceeding the target set at 44,000 PAX or reaching 102.34%.
“The PAX potential achievements showed a significant growth of 11.38% compared to the previous year’s achievements which were recorded as many as 40,427 PAX potentials,” Made said.
Furthermore, Made said that the potential for foreign exchange earnings from transactions during the 2025 Dubai ATM was estimated at US$84.79 million or equivalent to IDR1.42 trillion. This figure shows the significant contribution of the tourism sector to the national economy.
ATM Dubai 2025 is a leading international travel trade show that aims to unlock business potential in the Middle East region for inbound and outbound tourism. Now in its 32nd edition, ATM 2025 has set a record with more than 55,000 travel and tourism professionals from 166 countries and more than 2,800 exhibiting companies from various sectors including airlines, hotels, destinations and travel technology.
This year’s theme, “Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity,” highlights the importance of connectivity in shaping a sustainable future for tourism. ATM 2025 is also part of Arabian Travel Week, a ten-day festival of events related to the travel and tourism industry.
According to Made, ATM Dubai 2025 is a strategic platform for Indonesian tourism to build partnerships in expanding promotion and marketing, exploring industry trends and promoting innovation in the global tourism sector.
And for Indonesia’s achievements this time, he stressed that it is the result of a strong collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and the Jakarta Special Provincial Tourism and Creative Economy Office, the Indonesian Inbound Tour Operators Association (and other related parties.
“Our success in exceeding the target potential of tourists and foreign exchange in the Dubai 2025 ATM is the result of hard work, solid collaboration and marketing strategies that are right on target. Focusing on experiential tourism and highlighting the uniqueness of the culture and natural beauty of NTB, especially Lombok, has proven to be effective in attracting the Middle East market,” he said.
The Indonesian delegation at the event focused on selling special interest tour packages which included wellness tourism, gastronomy tourism, luxury tourism and marine tourism.
Meanwhile, was conveyed Assistant Deputy for Marketing of Foreign Tourism I Ministry of Tourism, Dedi Ahmad Kurnia, who added that this positive result would be an important capital to continue to increase foreign tourist visits to Indonesia.
