ARTOTEL GROUP-MATALESOGE COLLABORATES TO SUPPORT EQUALITY PROGRAM

ARTOTEL Group and ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan together with MATALESOGE hospitABLElity Academy held a seminar with the theme ‘Expanding the Awareness & Empathy in Autism Spectrum for Inclusive Hospitality Industry’ on June 19, 2025. This seminar is part of The Art of Goodness program which has been running since 2022 by ARTOTEL Group.

Three inspiring speakers presented at the seminar and shared stories about the autism spectrum: Tommy Hermanses, CEO of MATALESOGE Hospitality Academy; Sophia Aradhu, Head of the Inclusivity Program and parent of an artist with autism; and Diella Gracia Martauli, clinical psychologist.

The initiative aims to increase awareness and understanding of how professionals can coexist with individuals on the autism spectrum. It encourages the work industry, especially the hospitality industry, to create opportunities and promote equality by recognizing their talents and skills.

According to Oki Wibowo, ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan Jakarta’s Director of Human Resources, the hotel welcomes and fully supports this collaboration, which aligns with the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) program. We hope this program will positively impact the outside community and demonstrate that individuals with special needs can live, work, and achieve equally.

As a concrete manifestation of this program, ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan Jakarta is providing an employment opportunity for individuals with autism spectrum disorder in the human resources department. They will work as daily employees under the direct supervision of the relevant department head.

Meanwhile Tommy Hermanses, the CEO of MATALESOGE hospitABLElity Academy, added that the ARTOTEL Group’s empowerment program will transmit good values through individual, community, and agency forums, encouraging collaboration to achieve a shared humanitarian vision.

During the closing seminar, an MoU was also signed for the acceptance of two MATALESOGE trainees as daily workers at ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan Jakarta and ARTOTEL Group.
