THROUGH the Wonderful Indonesia (WI) campaign, the Ministry of Tourism is promoting Indonesian tourism more intensely in the global arena. This time, the campaign was present in two strategic European cities, Berlin and Rome, through outdoor media.
According to Ni Made Ayu Marthini, the Deputy for Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism, said the promotional campaign will take place throughout July 2025.
“The Wonderful Indonesia campaign is a strategic step to deepen promotional efforts throughout Europe. It also supports the Ministry of Tourism’s program, which focuses on creating deep, personal, and authentic travel experiences rooted in culture, nature, and local traditions,” said Ni Made Ayu Marthini.
Specifically, the Wonderful Indonesia campaign highlights priority tourism destinations (DPP) and regenerative destinations, such as the Lake Toba area in North Sumatra, Borobudur in Central Java, Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara, Lombok-Mandalika in West Nusa Tenggara, and Bali.
Through these destinations, Wonderful Indonesia (WI) displays Indonesia’s natural wealth, cultural uniqueness, and the high-quality experiences it offers tourists seeking unforgettable adventures and comfort.
“This campaign also reflects Indonesia’s strong commitment to sustainable tourism and inclusive economic growth, especially amid the global recovery during the summer holiday season,” she affirmed.
The Ministry of Tourism’s promotions in Berlin will be displayed on two open Great Bus units clad entirely in Wonderful Indonesia. The buses will travel through the city’s main destinations, including Kurfürstendamm, Lützowplatz, Gendarmenmarkt, Alexanderplatz, Karl-Marx-Allee, the East Side Gallery, Neptune Fountain, and DomAquarée.
Additionally, there will be a digital screen in Kurfürstendamm, one of Berlin’s most iconic and strategic shopping areas. In Rome, the promotions will be displayed on two open Great Bus units wrapped in Wonderful Indonesia, showcasing iconic Rome destinations like Stazione Termini, Santa Maria Maggiore, the Colosseum, Circus Maximus, Piazza Venezia, Castel Sant’Angelo, Via Veneto, and Piazza Barberini.
Another installation will be in a digital maxi billboard in Piazza del Risorgimento, a strategic location near the Vatican and popular with crowds. The promotion will also be displayed on a digital billboard in Piazzale Flaminio, the main entrance to Rome’s city center.
“This campaign sends a clear message that Indonesia is ready to welcome visitors with a safe, warm, and unforgettable travel experience,” Ni Made Ayu Marthini concluded. [traveltext.id]
