INDONESIA showcased various innovations and superior products at the Asian Expo 2025 at the Yangon Convention Centre, affirming its commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Myanmar.
“Indonesia’s participation in this Expo reflects its determination to strengthen economic, trade, and cultural cooperation with Myanmar and the Asian region,” said Novan Ivanhoe, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Indonesian Embassy in Yangon, in a press statement on Saturday (9/27/2025).
He hopes the Myanmar people will become more familiar with and appreciate the diversity of Indonesian products, services, and innovations.
The Expo was also attended by Dr. Htein Lynn, Director General of the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization (MYANTRADE), as well as diplomatic representatives from Malaysia and Egypt.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Novan accompanied Htein Lynn to inspect the Indonesian Pavilion, which featured booths from renowned companies and institutions such as Kalbe Myanmar International, PT Borden Eagle Indonesia (Cap Lang), Nayati, the Indonesian International School in Yangon (SIIY), and the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (Women’s Association) of the Indonesian Embassy in Yangon.
The pavilion showcases Indonesia’s industrial and cultural potential, while also reflecting the active role of the Indonesian community in Myanmar in strengthening relations between the two countries.
The Indonesian Embassy in Yangon invites the public to visit the Indonesian Pavilion, which is open to the public from September 26–28, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. [antaranews]
