AIR ACCESS to Jember and the Horseshoe region of East Java is now easier. Wings Air officially opened a direct flight route from Bali, Denpasar (DPS) to Jember (JBB) starting December 5, 2025, providing a faster, more convenient, and transit-free travel option for residents and tourists.
This new route serves as an important gateway to six regencies: Jember, Lumajang, Bondowoso, Probolinggo, Situbondo, and Banyuwangi.
People who previously had to travel long distances or make multiple transits can now reach these areas in a shorter time. Wings Air operates the Jember to Bali flight schedule three times a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
The flight from Bali departs at 11:40 a.m. Central Indonesian Time and arrives in Jember at 12:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time. In contrast, the Jember-Bali flight departs at 1:00 PM Western Indonesian Time (WIB) and arrives at 3:20 PM Central Indonesian Time (WITA). The flight is operated by a 72-seat ATR 72 aircraft, suitable for inter-island routes, providing a comfortable and efficient flying experience.
Jember will be connected to various domestic and international cities. This Bali-Jember route provides significant connections for the Tapal Kuda community. With one transit in Bali, passengers can connect to major cities such as Jakarta, Makassar, Lombok, Labuan Bajo, Kupang, Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, and several other cities in Indonesia.
Not only domestic flights, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport also facilitates access to various international cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. This connectivity makes international travel easier for residents of Jember and the surrounding area without having to fly to Surabaya or Jakarta first. [antaranews/photo special]
