INSTEAD of visiting crowded popular tourist destinations, many tourists prefer to enjoy authentic, personal travel experiences in tranquil settings. For those seeking such a travel experience, Menjangan Island in the West Bali National Park area could be a great destination.
The drive from Denpasar City to the accommodation on Menjangan Island takes just over three hours. On Menjangan Island, tourists can sit under shady trees while enjoying the pristine beach and watching wildlife such as monkeys and deer roaming in their habitat.
Several deer were seen sitting under the trees in the Plataran Menjangan Resort & Spa area when participants of the Familiarization Trip program titled “Hidden Bali: Serenity, Nature and Sustainability” visited the resort in Buleleng Regency on Wednesday (12/10), 2025.
Troops of monkeys were also seen roaming the unpaved roads surrounding the resort. However, tourists are not allowed to feed the monkeys to preserve their natural behavior.
When walking along the paths where the monkeys roam, tourists are reminded to keep an eye on their belongings to prevent them from being snatched and carried off by members of the monkey troop.
During their visit to Menjangan Island, tourists can enjoy the underwater scenery of Menjangan Island. The waters of Menjangan Island are home to a variety of colorful fish, including clownfish and Moorish fish. [antaranews]
