TRANSNUSA airline is expanding its domestic network by launching a direct Manado (MDC)–Ternate (TTE) flight. This route is considered TransNusa’s effort to strengthen connectivity between strategic cities in Eastern Indonesia while supporting more efficient access for residents, businesses, and tourists.
According to TransNusa Group CEO, Datuk Bernard Francis, in a statement on Monday (08/3), 2026. said this new route will be served twice daily, or 14 times a week. With this frequency, TransNusa hopes to provide more reliable connectivity in a region with growing potential for economic growth and tourism.
“The opening of this route is also seen as strengthening Manado’s role as one of TransNusa’s connectivity centers (hubs) in Eastern Indonesia. Currently, TransNusa operates flights from and to Manado to various domestic and international destinations, including Sorong, Denpasar, and Guangzhou,” he said.
He explained that with this network, Manado has become a connecting point, making it easier for people in Eastern Indonesia to access more destinations within the TransNusa flight network.
“The presence of this new route to Ternate further complements this network and opens up easier access for the people of North Maluku to various cities in Indonesia and international destinations served by TransNusa via Manado,” he affirmed.
Datuk Bernard added that developing the domestic network is an important part of the company’s strategy to build more equitable connectivity throughout Indonesia.
According to him, every expansion of the TransNusa network is designed to create interconnected connectivity, so that each new route expands public access to the TransNusa flight network as a whole.
“Through this network development, we want to continue providing connectivity that supports economic growth, trade, investment, and tourism in Eastern Indonesia,” he added.
In addition to supporting local mobility, the opening of this route is also expected to stimulate growth in the tourism sector. Manado-Ternate flight tickets are available for booking since July 27, 2026, through the official TransNusa website www.transnusa.co.id and all official sales channels.
This route will begin operating on August 19, 2026, with ticket prices starting from IDR 999,000 one-way. The Manado–Ternate flight is scheduled to depart at 7:30 a.m. WITA and arrive at 9:25 a.m. WIT, with the second flight departing at 10:20 a.m. WITA and arriving at 12:15 p.m. WIT.
Meanwhile, the Ternate–Manado flight departs at 9:55 a.m. WIT and 12:45 p.m. WIT. All flights are operated by Airbus A320s with various value-added services, including free baggage allowance of up to 20 kg, Extra Legroom options, complimentary snacks and drinks, and discounted tickets for children.
