THE MANAGEMENT of Dhoho Kediri International Airport is entering a new phase, after PT Surya Dhoho Investama (SDHI) officially ran airport operations independently following the end of the joint operations (KSO) scheme with PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia.
This new status was obtained after SDHI received the Decree of the Director General of Civil Aviation (DJPU) Number KP-DJPU 216 of 2026 concerning the Designation of Airports Managed by PT Surya Dhoho Investama.
SDHI also obtained an Airport Business Entity Standard Certificate (BUBU) Number 81201089920010005 on behalf of the company. With the publication of these two documents, SDHI officially carries out the management and operation of Dhoho Kediri International Airport as a BUBU.
Director of Operations, Safety and Development of PT Surya Dhoho Investama, Okky Riana Hartadi, in his official statement, Sunday, said that obtaining the BUBU Standard Certificate was an important milestone for SDHI in managing Dhoho Kediri International Airport independently.
“With status as BUBU, we have wider space to optimize management, develop services, and respond to market and community needs more quickly and adaptively,” Okky said.
The changes to the management scheme are aimed at increasing operational efficiency and supporting the sustainable development of Dhoho Airport. Dhoho Kediri International Airport is located in the Selingkar Wilis area which is linked to a number of potential areas in East Java.
The existence of this airport is one of the infrastructures that is expected to strengthen access and connectivity in the area. With independent management, Dhoho Airport is expected to support community mobility while opening better access to economic, business and tourism activities in the surrounding area.
This transfer of management also places SDHI as BUBU which is directly responsible for the operations of Dhoho Kediri International Airport, after previously carrying out joint management with PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia through a KSO scheme. [antaranews]
