Hennessy Explores the Living Secret Behind 8 Generations of History

WORLD’S luxury cognac, Hennessy from Moet Hennessy, will reveal its product development process through an educative on-ground experiential journey through the biggest Hennessy exhibition in Indonesia, Hennessy Declassified.

According to Andrianto Surohadikusumo, Brand Manager of Hennessy Indonesia said, the on-ground activities will bring visitors to explore the living secret behind 8 generations of Hennessy history and its savoir-faire. There will be 5 (five) rooms that will resemble each of the process of cognac-making from the maison of Hennessy that will be displayed from 30 October to 2 November 2018 at Pacific Place Mall – 1st Floor (Unit 31 & 32).

“Five rooms were created to tell a journey of cognac-making from 8 generations of history, that is started at Room 1 – A Walk in Cognac, Hennessy will welcome visitors in their vineyard. There is a 200-hectare vineyard owned by Hennessy in Cognac. Each hectare of vineyards is able to produce 120,000 bottles of white wine,” he said.

He also remarked that in Room 2 – Distillation Room, learn about how a drop of cognac is being made. Hennessy goes to double distillation process to create an eaux-de-vie (eaux-de-vie: water of life, a result of double fermentation of Ugni Blanc grapes–the basic material for cognac. A bottle of Hennessy cognac is made of more than 60 different eaux-de-vie).

“But Room 3 – In the Heart of Hennessy, this is the time and place where those eaux-de-vie were put to oak tree barrels for maturation. Hennessy owns more than 400,000 barrels of eaux-de-vie. Each of our own barrels were handcrafted without utilizing nails nor glue, strengthen the quality and authenticity of our cognac,” he added.

Andrianto Surohadikusumo mentioned that also Room 4 – Time for Decision, imagine Hennessy master blender from generation to generation sat in this room, to create the finest cognac in the world. You can also act like them and feel the pride of their decision in the Time for Decision room. Room 5 – Hennessy Collection, this room showcases the collections from Hennessy masterpiece and the chance to taste Hennessy XO that will be conducted by Hennessy representatives.

“Hennessy Declassified is expected to bring an educative experiential journey to its visitor and cognac enthusiast, as a platform for showing what is behind the product development process of Hennessy. Through this exhibition we want to show how our finest cognac is being made. Hennessy Declassified bring 5 different rooms that represent the whole process of cognac development to our dearest customer and cognac enthusiast in Indonesia,” he said.
