NOW Lion Air flights are preparing to launch a new service in the form of entertainment in air travel (inflight entertainment). This service is in the concept of wifi entertainment which they will introduce as Lion Entertainment in the near future.
According to Rudy Lumingkewas, Director of Lion Air, said the on-board wifi product is a collaboration of PT Dua Surya Dinamika (AirFi Indonesia), a provider of wireless inflight entertainment (W-IFE).
“Entertainment facilities can be accessed only from the grip via W-IFE at cruise heights up to 35,000 feet for free domestic and international flights to activate on board easily,” Rudy said.
It is said, the advantage of Lion Entertainment is that it can be connected with W-IFE AirFi Indonesia, which allows passengers to enjoy passengers from all smart phones, tablets, laptops with operating systems (OS), such as iOS, Android, Windows, BBM, Linux.
“The content available in W-IFE from AirFi Indonesia is very diverse. You name it, Hollywood, Bollywood, Korean, Mandarin and Indonesian films. Then, videos for children, magazines, games, short message conversations in the cabin (onboard chat),” he said. [photo special]
