THE Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy held a business gathering as an event to promote Indonesian tourism as well as an evaluation of various programs that were already running, particularly for the Thai market.
In collaboration with Visit Indonesia Tourism Officer (VITO) Bangkok and Indochina and supported by the Indonesian Embassy in Thailand, the activity took place recently at the Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.
According to the Deputy for Marketing Development I Kemenparekraf, Rizki Handayani said, in this activity a variety of information about Indonesia’s tourism destinations was conveyed. Including the Indonesian tourism promotion plan which will be held in 2020.
“We are optimistic that Business Gathering will have a positive economic impact on Indonesian tourism.
The first session of discussion was used to explain the position of VITO and various promotional activities carried out by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. The profile of Indonesian tourism globally was also conveyed,” she said.
She told that in the next session, a variety of Calendar of Events Indonesia 2020 was held. However, the attractions to be offered were adjusted to the tastes of the Thai market. Furthermore, a presentation was made regarding 5 Super Priority Destinations. The various uniqueness and uniqueness of each destination is conveyed in detail. Also explained was the advantages of accessibility and position of the amenities.

Rizki also mentioned that Business Gathering participants had a vital role in the movement of Thai tourists to Indonesia. Business Gathering participants are very diverse. Their position is very important because it is in direct contact with Thailand’s internal market. For this reason, intensive coordination must be carried out. Moreover, there are a variety of new strategies that will be implemented to optimize the Thai market.
