MINISTER of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of Tourism & Creative Economy Agency Wishnutama Kusubandio inaugurated officials of the Middle High Leadership (Echelon I) and Officials of the High Leadership Primary (Echelon II) at the Soesilo Soedarman Hall, Sapta Pesona Building Jakarta, (5/2/2020).
The newly appointed officers will occupy new positions in the newly formed Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of Tourism and Creative Economy Agency organization as a result of the merger of the Ministry of Tourism with the Creative Economy Agency. The formation of the new organization is in accordance with the Presidential instructions issued through Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 96 of 2019 concerning the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and Perpres No. 97 of 2019 concerning the Agency for Tourism and Creative Economy.
Wishnutama emphasized that the inauguration of first and second echelon officials was part of the structuring of the new organizational structure in developing the role of tourism and the creative economy as the mainstay of the country’s foreign exchange earning sector and creating broad jobs for the welfare of society.
He explained, the formation of a new organization Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of Tourism and Creative Economy Agency requires a long time of about three months to organize the new organization as efficiently as possible and to determine the main tasks and functions in each work unit to function optimally.
“This new Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of Tourism and Creative Economy Agency organizational structure has been reviewed so that it can be implemented appropriately and mutually reinforcing. We also think of the system so that the strategic role between Tourism Minsitry & Creative Economy Body runs optimally,” Wishnutama said.
The inauguration ceremony that was witnessed by Tourism Vice Minister, Angela Tanoesoedibjo was attended by invited guests from relevant agency officials, tourism and creative economy business people, as well as officials inaugurated consisting of 14 officials of the High Senior Leadership (Echelon I) and 30 High Primary Management Officials (Echelon) II). These officials will occupy a position within the new structure of the Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of Tourism and Creative Economy Agency organization.
In the new organizational structure of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy led by the Minister and Deputy Minister placing 6 echelon one officials consisting of, Secretary of the Ministry, Expert Staff for Reform and Regulation, Expert Staff for Sustainable Development and Conservation, Expert Staff for Business Development, Expert Staff for Innovation and Creativity, and Expert Staff for Crisis Management.
Meanwhile the new organizational structure of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency led by the Head of the Agency (Minister) and Deputy Head of the Agency (Deputy Minister) placed 9 first echelon officials namely; Main Secretariat, Main Inspectorate, Deputy for Strategic Policy, Deputy for Resources and Institutions, Deputy for Development and Infrastructure, Deputy for Industry and Investment, Deputy for Marketing, Deputy for Tourism Products and Events, and Deputy for Economic Affairs Digital and Creative Products.
The Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Organization, which was formed based on Presidential Regulation No. 97 of 2019, is a Non-Ministerial Government Institution that is under and is responsible to the President. [traveltext.id]
