CREATIVE ECONOMY PLAYERS MUST FULLY UNDERSTAND INDUSTRIAL ECOSYSTEMS

MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy wants creative economy players to fully understand the existing ecosystem so that it can create new opportunities and balance between local and foreign players in the domestic market.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Wishnutama Kusubandio explained, in addition to regulations to protect intellectual property rights, understanding the creative economy ecosystem is a challenge going forward for creative economic actors in Indonesia.

“The challenge of the creative economy going forward is to understand the ecraf ecosystem itself. No longer thinking about how to design, produce, package, market and so on,” Wishnutama said.

Furthermore Wishnutama said, talking about the creative economy is how the creative actors create a concept or idea. Then produce, market, distribute it to learn and understand consumer behavior.

Indonesia is a huge market for creative economic products. Even in 2045, Indonesia is predicted to be the fourth largest economy in the world. For this reason, said Wishnutama, it is important for creative economic actors to truly understand the existing ecosystem.

“I know that in e-commerce the components of creative economy products can be 60 to 70%. But products made in Indonesia only 10 percent of the creative economy products sold in e-commerce,” he noted.

Meanwhile the Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziah on the same occasion also explained, in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, humans were no longer the sole prime movers. Therefore, the development of technology and information have a major influence on the development of employment.

She considered, the smartest innovated excelled in society. And the most responsive to the changes that will last. The character of the industry has changed no longer based on natural resources (SDA) but based on knowledge, innovation, human resources. So, dare to compete.

Meanwhile, Vokraf CEO Fina Silmi explained that the vokraf is an online education platform that focuses on increasing young talents in accordance with the expertise needed by the creative industries.

“There are four creative fields that are currently the focus, namely copywriters, 3D animators, graphic designers, and YouTube content creators. Later, users will receive training directly from experts who work in well-known companies,” Fina Silmi concluded. [traveltext.id]
