MINISTRY COLLABORATES WITH ASPRINDO TO DEVELOP TOURISM VILLAGES

THE Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is collaborating with the Association of Indonesian Native Entrepreneurs (Asprindo) to discuss partnerships through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop tourism villages in Indonesia.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, said that Asprindo has a program that focuses on tourist villages that can be collaborated with the Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy.

“Regarding tourism villages, we are very focused there. Because Asprindo also has programs related to tourist villages that we can collaborate with. So there will be 244 tourist villages that we hope can be developed,” Sandiaga said.

Sandiaga explained that tourist villages have become a world tourism trend, offering authentic holiday experiences amid a relaxed and healthy environment. For this reason, synergy programs are needed to develop tourist villages in order to attract tourists.

Furthermore, Sandiaga asked Asprindo to review several other appropriate programs for strategic collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. So that this collaboration can be a locomotive for the recovery of Indonesia’s economic revival through the tourism sector and the creative economy.

“We need collaboration, choose one or two maximum collaboration between us Asprindo and Kemenparekraf. In the next 4 weeks it can be continued with an MoU with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. So it’s concrete to collaborate to build this sector of tourism & creative economy,” Sandiaga noted.

Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of Asprindo, Jose Rizal, said that the Asprindo program is in line with the Ministry of Tourism’s program, which has a focus on village development. I hope that Asprindo and Tourism Ministry can collaborate to increase employment through the tourism & creative economy sector.

“The industrial village program, in which we project one village to have a competitive advantage in forming a creative economy to compete and advance the economy of the local community. This seems to be parallel to the Tourism Village Tourism Ministry program. So I hope we can synergize. We also really hope that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in under the guidance of Asprindo can contribute positively to Tourism Ministry programs,” Jose concluded. [traveltext.id]
