TIKET.COM STATED THAT THE PERFORMANCE INCREASED IN THE 1ST QUARTER OF 2021

TIKET.COM stated that their performance in the first quarter (Q1) 2021 experienced a sharp increase, marked by achieving optimal performance in all the flagship products in the application.

According to the Co-Founder & Chief Marketing Officer, tiket.com Gaery Undarsa, in his statement received in Jakarta, Monday (19/4), said that tiket.com’s Q1 performance far exceeds the best case scenario we have compiled. We sincerely thank the people of Indonesia for their continuous support in the context of restoring the tourism industry.

In the data presented by tiket.com, it is stated that the purchase of airplane tickets in the first quarter of 2021 has skyrocketed as high as 331%. Hotel bookings also increased significantly at 321%. Meanwhile, TO DO tickets also achieved a level of popularity with transactions at 10,083%. In the first quarter of 2021, tiket.com also recorded a growth in user numbers of 299 percent or about three times.

Gaery assessed that this achievement was due to the contribution of several tiket.com campaigns such as MTM (Malu Date Muda) and the Red Date campaign.

Based on data compiled by tiket.com, the annual OTW (Online Ticket Week) discount party which was held on April 5-11 succeeded in pushing the number of airplane ticket purchases by 81%, hotel bookings by 131%, and TO DO tickets by 75%.

“The presence of a promo campaign like Suddenly the OTW is an opportunity for people to plan a more mature vacation at a more affordable price,” said Gaery.

He explained, besides that, the sharp increase in the number of transactions in hotel reservations is proof of tiket.com’s success in inviting Indonesians to vacation either in the form of staycations, work from hotels, or holidays near home safely and according to health protocols.

From tiket.com’s records, the top five domestic destinations in the first quarter of 2021 based on hotel sales during the OTW are Jakarta, Bandung, Bali, Surabaya and Yogyakarta. Whereas for airplane tickets, the top five favorite destinations are Surabaya, Medan, Makassar, Bali and Yogyakarta.
