THE Indonesia National Air Carrier Association (INACA) believes that the avtur discount given by Pertamina in the Christmas and New Year period will not have too much impact.
According to Bayu Sutanto, the Secretary General of INACA said because it only reduced operating costs and increased profits for airlines that had recorded profits. Unfortunately, I cannot project how much the potential for reduced operating costs is.
“Even so, I project from the discount there is the potential for a reduction in ticket prices. Maybe it will affect the price a little too,” he said.
Previously, the aviation fuel price discount of 20% was delivered by VP Corporate Communication Pertamina Fajriyah Usman which will take effect starting December 9. The enforcement applies at airports in eastern Indonesia which is a transit airport for continue flights.
“Besides that, I also welcome the government’s plan to bring in private aviation fuel suppliers. Good, it means more choices,” he continued.
