PEOPLE SHOULD BE INVOLVED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOURIST DESTINATIONS

THE Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Wishnutama Kusubandio, suggested that the community be actively and eagerly involved in efforts to develop tourist destinations around their homes.

“One of the things he suggested is that the packaging of the master plan of a tourist destination be arranged in an attractive manner so that it can make people excited and eager to participate in developing these tourist attractions,” he said.

For instance the description of the Borobudur Super Priority Destination. He explained, Borobudur Highland will become a tourist area complete with various facilities. There are villas, restaurants, tracks down hill, until the amphitheater. The development is also in harmony with nature.

Wishnutama listen carefully. But he gave input, so that the master plan or master plan of a tourist destination is displayed with the best visuals.

“In every Authority and Special Economic Zone (SEZ), I want to provide the best visualization. Show it with 3D as if it were real, so that the public is excited,” he said.

He also explained, the masterplan which is only in the form of numbers will make it difficult for the public to digest, what kind of tourist attractions they want to be. With the best visuals, it will provide imagination and clear images.

“The easier it is to imagine or the easier it is to imagine, the more ‘excited’ the public will be. From the governor to the local people will be more enthusiastic to cooperate with each other. Because they know, oh later like this you know,” Minister Wishnutama explained.

According to him, the development of a tourist site must involve the community. Because, the people themselves will become tourism and creative economy agents. The people also directly feel the income from tourism.

“Tourism is essentially empowering and prospering the community,” he said.

Wishnutama gave his experience when designing the opening of the 2019 Asian Games. At that time, he displayed a visualization of the imagination first and then the technical. At the time I made the opening of the Asian Games it wasn’t technical, it was imagination. I explain in detail and become enthusiastic. That’s called communication psychology.

“Indeed, the Authority Agency will spend a lot of money to display the master plan in visual form. But in the future, it will make it easier for the Authority to develop its design. Indeed, the cost of 3D animation is expensive. But believe me, after that all the tasks will be easier,” he concluded. [traveltext.id]
