THE latest development in the super priority destination of the Borobudur Temple area in Magelang, Central Java, is emphasized on the importance of product packaging to Small and Medium Enterprises.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Wishnutama Kusubandio said we will help with the packaging. Because not only quality, but ‘look’ also must be considered. There are 16 creative economic sub-sectors that can be developed in a tourist village and become an added value for visitors.
“Where there are tourist destinations, there is ‘local wisdom’. That’s where the creative economy develops, such as culinary, souvenirs to photography that will make the community prosper,” he said.
He explained, there were several challenges and we needed from several related ministries such as the completion of the 50 hectare Land Management Rights status at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, the Borobudur Authority Agency-Forestry Agency collaboration of 259 hectares with the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises, the provision of basic infrastructure with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing agency, international direct flights with Ministry of Transportation, and product travel patterns and business standardization and tourism human resources with Tourism Ministry.
“The Borobudur Priority Destination masterplan, in the form of villas and various supporting tourism facilities such as restaurants and others. Of course, these developments are in harmony with nature. Surely we help deliver it to the relevant ministries. I will also meet with foreign airline officials who will also ask them to open flights to Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA),” said Minister Wishnutama.
Finally, Tourism Minister wishes that the development of the Borobudur Temple Area Super Priority Destination has its own unique value. Which, it will make Borobudur Temple more easily promoted to local and foreign tourists. [traveltext.id]
