AFFECTED BY COVID-19, LION AIR GROUP NOW PUTTING A BUSINESS STRATEGY

LION Air Group is currently discussing airline efforts and strategies in dealing with the impact of the corona virus pandemic or COVID-19 on the aviation business operations.

Nevertheless, the airline’s operational activities are claimed to be still running normally even though there are some flight routes that were canceled because the local regional government did close the access to the air lanes.

According to Danang Mandala Prihantoro, Danang Mandala’s Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air Group said that related to internal strategic policies facing the current situation and conditions that were still being discussed by the company’s internal management to determine the right steps. Danang admitted that he was still negotiating with management to determine the appropriate steps both internally and externally regarding the impact of the corona virus. In addition, Danang also stated there was no termination of employment or layoffs for employees even though the aviation industry is currently facing a difficult time because it coincides with the corona virus pandemic. As for employee housing, we don’t have any layoffs,” he said.

Furthermore Danang added, Lion Air Group will continue and still monitor developments on a daily basis and follow every policy issued by the government and company recommendations.
