TOURISM MINISTRY INVITES EVENT INDUSTRY PLAYERS TO HOLD ONLINE ACTIVITIES

THE Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy invites event industry players in Indonesia to hold online activities to improve tourism human resource competencies in creating and marketing online events amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the Deputy for Tourism Products and the Implementation of Events Tourism Minsitry, Rizki Handayani Mustafa in his statement in Jakarta, explained that online activities as a stimulus program for event actors in Indonesia in order to empower Indonesian event workers during the COVID-19 emergency.

“This activity will consist of two stages, namely webinars and real projects to online events, where the target is from 50 representatives of event industry companies and 50 representatives of organizations in the regional event community,” Rizki Handayani said.

Rizki explained, in the implementation of the webinar, Tourism Ministry worked with the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI). While the real project to the online event will later be selected from 100 webinar participants, the best 6 online event projects that will be supported to be implemented. With the assessment criteria based on creativity and the level of absorption of the workforce event. The online project perproject target is able to absorb 20 event workers.

“We are ready to facilitate the event organizers. We want to collaborate with industry players. To be together from now on, think about recovering the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic,” she said.
