AMID the pandemic, many creations were created until a new trend of creative people in the country who chose to keep working and even create opportunities and new trends in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Plt. Deputy for Digital Economy and Creative Products, Joshua Simandjuntak at the “Collabonation” event on Tuesday (28/4) said the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy appreciated all the creative economy subsectors which were greatly affected by COVID-19. Even now it is not only included in the health emergency response, but the economic emergency response.
“For this reason, he greatly appreciates the steps of creative people who are able to adapt and even create new trends and opportunities. In the current situation, we have to remain productive despite our limitations. And now we really have to adapt, “Joshua said.
He cited the steps led by photographer Heret Frasthio who carried the #ShootFromHome pattern so that photographers could still work and work. Even the pattern was later adopted into other creative fields such as videography and became collaborative together.
“From this creativity is certainly a positive thing, a solution to how creative people remain productive,” Joshua added.
Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry itself, said Joshua, encouraged that the same thing can be done by other creative economy subsectors and the government is ready to facilitate.
“Not only this breakthrough must be disseminated, but how can this mentality be maintained to be able to continue to look for creative solutions. We continue to exist, helping to become facilitators, bringing together various parties so that the solutions that friends get can be disseminated and develop in other sectors,” Joshua concluded.
