CELEBRATING 75 years of Indonesian independence, Fairmont Jakarta offers a special culinary experience by presenting the rich variety of Indonesian culinary delights in a series of events entitled ‘Tribute to Indonesia’.
Fairmont Jakarta is known for its annual event which promotes culinary and lifestyle events with the theme of different destinations each year by inviting guest star chefs from the respective destinations. This year, as a tribute to Indonesia, Fairmont Jakarta collaborated with award-winning chefs, Mandif Warokka and Chandra Yudasswara in a series of events that took inspiration from Indonesian culinary delights from 25 August to 5 September 2020.
Refined Indonesian Flavors in 1945
1945 is a five star restaurant that focuses on classy Indonesian cuisine. Each menu is presented in an elegant and modern style while maintaining the authenticity of the Indonesian taste.
On 27-29 August 2020, guest star Chef Chandra Yudasswara will serve a 5-course set menu with the theme of refined Indonesian cuisine, starting from Chicken Taliwang, Pempek Tenggiri Palembang to Klepon Durian and Ice Doger Cake.
The 5-course set-menu dinner is available for IDR588,000 ++ per person. During dinner, guests will also be treated to a selection of traditional Indonesian tea upon arrival, Indonesian herbal drinks such as JEJAMU by Mustika Ratu. The Indonesian nuance is also reflected in the restaurant lounge area hosted by the Palembang Weaving House, as well as Indonesian music entertainment to accompany this special dinner.
Exquisite Indonesian Cuisine at VIEW Restaurant
VIEW Restaurant serves modern European style dishes with a touch of Asian influence. Under the direction of Chef Patrese Vito, each dish not only pampers the guest’s appetite, but the beautiful presentation is also a pleasure to look at.
On 3-5 September 2020, Chef Patrese Vito will collaborate with his former colleague and mentor, Chef Mandif Warokka from BLANCO par Mandif in Bali in a four-hand dinner collaboration, serving unique Indonesian gastronomic dishes such as Octopus Lawar, Beef Cheek Rawon, Belly Celebes Island Tuna to Cassava Burnt Cake.
In this four-hand dinner collaboration, they will serve an Indonesian-themed 8-course fine cuisine dinner, which will explore Indonesian flavors that are processed with modern cooking skills and a deep love for the culinary world.
The 8-course dinner is available for IDR888,000 ++ per person. The option to complement the dinner with wine pairing or cocktail pairing with Indonesian inspiration is also available.
Nusantara Afternoon Tea at Peacock Lounge
Peacock Lounge is well known as the destination for afternoon tea in Jakarta. Signature Afternoon Tea at the Peacock Lounge, served in an elegant white leather case, with storage drawers like a jewelery box where each layer is used to serve different dishes of afternoon tea, sweet and salty.
From 25 August-5 September 2020, Peacock Lounge will present Indonesian-inspired Afternoon Tea, which is prepared using a special recipe from Chef Mandif Warokka. On this occasion, Chef Mandif reinterpreted the concept of Indonesian market snacks with a touch of afternoon tea style such as Sourdough Kue Lumpur, Pandan Madeleine, and Mango Explosion.
Indonesian Food Festival at Spectrum
Spectrum is a buffet restaurant at Fairmont Jakarta, which serves a variety of Indonesian and international dishes in a buffet.
